Grovewell Garden Centres are family owned and operated.
Their community focus and expert knowledge are at the heart of what they do.
Always driving forward, in the capable hands of their owner and Director Edward Boult, Grovewell Garden Centres, located in Canterbury, Folkestone, Hamstreet and Tenterden, provide quality plants at value for money prices, backed up with Excellent Customer Service.
The Coffee shops and Restaurants provide customers with a great place to rest and relax, offering locally sourced produce to tempt them. These delights were displayed to customers on traditional printed media framed in wood, which although authentic, they reflect a time gone by which has now moved on, to the age of digitalisation and advancement in media display technology.
We discussed with the team at Grovewell, the benefits of moving from fixed printed menus to the flexibility of digital signage displays, its visual impact and its ability to be quickly updated, should a price change be required, a new product added or an old one removed. Digital displays can be amended in a few minutes with ease via our cloud-based digital signage software “digitalsignage.NET Core Edition”, saving the Garden Centre hundreds of pounds a year in multiple reprints, as prices fluctuate and require amendments throughout the year.
In addition to menus, our digital signage platform allow the user to experiment with what works best by creating new layout designs that may include promotional videos, split screen and multi zonal areas.
The Garden Centres at Canterbury and Folkestone were chosen as the first two sites to have this digital signage transformation carried out. New menus have been created by our design team and these have been deployed at the two restaurants.
Displayed on bright 43-inch track mounted digital displays, that allow the delivery a dynamic and visually appealing medium, that print based static media cannot reproduce.
The Garden Centre also plan to trial additional different designs, offline before potentially releasing them. This ability to try and test offline, without the need to print, is an extremely value asset to digital signage in its flexibility, ability to review at zero cost and speed of change, once a design has been evaluated and approved.
We are looking forward to completing the updates for Grovewell at the remaining two Garden Centres at Hamsteet and Tenterden in the coming weeks.
