Located at the Kingsthorpe Shopping centre in Northampton, The owners of the Touchwood Pharmacy chain contacted us again for a signage solution consultation for their Pharmacy in Northampton. After their successful install at Boley Shopping centre in Lichfield, Touchwood where aware of the benefits of a Pharmacy TV solution and its impact on providing health related information to its local community.
In today’s fast-paced world, effective communication is essential in both retail and healthcare settings. Pharmacies, in particular, are recognising the value of digital signage to provide health information and engage customers dynamically. Traditional static posters, though informative, often fail to capture attention in the same way that vibrant, easily updated digital displays can. Touchwood Pharmacy is one such example, leveraging modern signage to enhance customer experience and health awareness. The Pharmacy required a clean and uncluttered solution to deliver Pharmacy First information services and special product offers to their customers
A 55-inch High brightness digital signage window display was installed at the front of the store. The street facing display provides an attractive and eye catching statement, that would be visible even on the brightest sunny days, informing passers by of the service and offers to be found in-store.
Once inside, a smaller 49-inch display is prominent next to the counter. A perfect position for the queuing customers who can gain some knowledge and useful information while waiting to be served.
Media content is provided and managed by Review Systems Digital Signage Ltd.
Our cloud-based system provides up to date information from our Healthy Living TV platform, allowing this media to be delivered quickly and effectively for rapid changes in real time. Our design and delivery team worked with the Pharmacy to create health related media content, image, videos and schedule these on each of the displays.
So why Choose Digital Signage Over Static Posters?
Dynamic Content: Unlike static posters, which present fixed information, digital signage allows for content that is frequently updated in real-time. This flexibility enables pharmacies to showcase multiple messages—whether about seasonal health campaigns, product promotions, or urgent health alerts—all on the same screen, keeping the content fresh and engaging.
Enhanced Visibility: The high-brightness digital displays are designed to stand out, even in direct sunlight, which is a stark improvement over traditional posters that can fade or become hard to read over time. In Kingsthorpe, the street-facing 55-inch screen at Touchwood Pharmacy grabs the attention of passers-by, making it much more likely to inform and attract potential customers.
Interactivity and Engagement: Digital signage captures attention more effectively than static posters. The moving images and videos on digital screens naturally draw the eye, increasing the likelihood that people will absorb and act on the information presented. Customers waiting in line, as with the in-store 49-inch display at Touchwood, have their attention held by rotating content, improving both customer experience and health literacy.
Cost Efficiency and Sustainability: While posters need to be printed, distributed, and replaced regularly, digital signage requires fewer physical resources. Updates can be made instantly, reducing the need for constant reprinting. This reduces both costs and environmental impact, as fewer materials are used in the long term.
Real-Time Updates: With the cloud-based digital signage system used by Touchwood Pharmacy, content can be scheduled and updated remotely. This allows for rapid responses to new information, such as changes in pharmacy services, new health advisories, or updated product offerings. Static posters can't offer the same immediacy.
